Desde la A*STAR Graduate Academy nos hacen llegar la siguiente información sobre las becas para estancias en centros de investigación A*STAR de Singapur.
Las becas ARAP son para estudiantes de doctorado, y lo lógico sería tener un contacto previo entre el director de tesis en UPM y algún investigador en un centro de A*STAR.
Las becas SIPGA son para estudiantes de Grado o Máster, son muy competitivas y son para estancias de 2 a 6 meses. Estas sí pueden pedirse directamente aunque no haya una recomendación previa de un investigador de A*STAR (aunque también puede ser por esta vía). Para estas becas la fecha límite es el 15 de junio. A*STAR Research Attachment Programme (for PhD students)
The A*STAR Research Attachment Programme (ARAP) fosters research collaboration between our research groups and overseas universities, building synergy and enabling international PhD students to tap on resources and expertise on both sides. Under ARAP, PhD students matriculated at your university may undertake a fully funded 1-2 year attachment at an A*STAR research institute. Please find the ARAP brochure attached. A list of potential A*STAR collaborators under “Research Areas” can be found on the ARAP webpage for interested faculty to explore research partnerships. If you have a research focus area that your university would like to explore with A*STAR, please do let us know so that we may connect you with the relevant research institutes.
Singapore International Pre-Graduate Award (for BSc and MSc students)
The Singapore International Pre-Graduate Award (SIPGA) funds international students at the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level who would like to explore short-term research attachments at A*STAR of 2-6 months. Students may apply directly at the SIPGA webpage by 15 June 2022. Please feel free to disseminate the SIPGA brochure attached to your Bachelor’s and Master’s students in the relevant courses.
