Requirements: Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics or
equivalent degrees. Pursuing Master in Artificial Intelligence or Data
Science would be an advantage. Theoretical and practical knowledge of
Bayesian Networks and Machine Learning are valued, as well as
proficiency in English and strong R/Python programming skills.
Description of Work: The chosen candidates will work at Computational
Intelligence Group (http://cig.fi.upm.es/) at the School of Computer
Science of the Technical University in Madrid, Spain. The main
objective of the work is the research, development and innovation in
learning Bayesian Networks from data arising from complex
spatio-temporal networks. In particular, contributing in algorithms
for score-based spatio-temporal causal discovery, both in
stationary/nonstationary and nonlinear domains, is expected. Moreover,
the models will be applied to cutting-edge problems in climate domains
from data on a big scale.
The work is funded by Fundación BBVA, project granted in the 2019 Call
to Research Groups on the topic of Big Data.
